Tanya has over 25+ years of international financial services experience including 12+ years dedicated to M&A as an investment banker and 13+ years dedicated as a venture investor. In 2012, Tanya followed her passion for technology and early stage start-ups and began her VC journey in NYC by co-founding her first Venture fund, CapA, which invested in 18 companies and a top performer globally in fund performance. Moving to Stockholm, Sweden in 2013, CapA invested not only in the US, but also the Nordics. Tanya joined Finnish based Butterfly Ventures as a partner in 2016 to raise Butterfly Ventures Fund III and expand the fund’s geography to Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Iceland. Tanya is currently serving as a Board Observer and Board Member for several Butterfly portfolio companies such as TVM Sweden AB and Intelecy AS. She also serves on the Advisory Committee for the European Commission’s (European Investment Bank) €10 Billion EIC Fund investing into Deep Tech. Tanya holds a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics and Marketing and received a tennis scholarship from Georgia State University.
